The Hoggard High School Viking Bands have a long tradition of excellence. The hard work

and dedication of committed students, instructors and volunteers is what makes this band so

successful. With recent decreases in state funding for K-12 education, the Viking Band program

would like to continue to grow in size and achievements. This growth is only possible through

generous contributions from parents and corporate sponsors.

 

The bands are a source of great pride for students, parents, teachers and employees of

Hoggard High School. The band program instills discipline, work ethic, music appreciation,

fitness, camaraderie, and respect to all students that are involved.

 

Due in part to these learned values, statistics show that band students are more likely to be

accepted into high profile majors, such as medicine, and score an average of 62 points higher

than other students on SAT tests. As you can see, the Viking Bands are helping build tomorrow’s

leaders.

 

Our sponsorship program has several levels of participation. All levels are based on contribution

amounts and on the Hoggard High School band season, which runs from August through May

each school year.
